Three BIF alumni are now EMBO members
Congratulations to Sarah Teichmann, Andreas Ladurner and Ludger Johannes: they were awarded lifelong EMBO memberships. The three BIF alumni are among 55 new life scientists to have been recognized by the European Molecular Biology Organisation for their scientific excellence.

Tongtong Zhao is first author of a paper in SCIENCE
Congratulations to former BIF PhD fellow Tongtong Zhao: She is first author of a research paper that was published in the journal Science. The online version of Tongtong's paper "Growing Microtubules Push the Oocyte Nucleus to Polarize the Drosophila Dorsal-Ventral Axis" was published on April 12.
